Naomi SmithPresident
Degree: 1st Year Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) with Bachelor of Computer and Mathematical Science
Major (and any minors): Chemical Engineering and Computer Science Hobbies: Baking, playing ukulele, learning anything, and binging netflix series Facts about me: Ever since I was a kid, my personal interests have always laid with science and other STEM fields, so I feel that taking this role will really help me connect with my passions. As for the best kind of science? Chemistry and Geology definitely outrank the rest. Roles/Goals in AUSca: I’m Naomi, the president of the AUScA committee of 2019. This year I hope to lead the club by increasing communication between year levels so club members feel as though they are part of a family, and aim to do this through a range of social activities including the club’s annual sci ball, quiz night, pub crawls, and other events. |
Rhys MorganVice President
Degree: 2nd Year Bachelor of Science (Advanced)
Major (and any minors): Biochemistry & Chemistry Hobbies: Sleeping, Listening to music, Travelling, Team Sports Facts about me: I’d consider myself a bit of a workaholic. I tend to fill my free time procrastinating or working one of my part-time jobs (only if I have any free time :P). But I’m a fun, jokester and I’ll always be up for a drink or two (I’m prone to buying people drinks…) Roles/Goals in AUScA: My role in AUScA is the Vice-President. I’m the person who can step in to help Naomi in leading AUScA to greatness and support everything going on. My interests will be focused on the pub crawls as well as building industry relations to provide our students with opportunities to expand their university prospects. |

Degree: 3rd Year Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences (Advanced)
Majors: Maternal Health, Pathology and Forensics Hobbies: Cooking, sketching, travelling, binge watching documentaries about anything Facts about me: I would consider myself a very broad person and can easily shift my interests from one field to another. Call me weird but I love practicals which involve cadavers and dissections. One of the facts that I learnt about myself is that I am perfectionists who likes to fix things, whether it’s a watch, laptop or anything else. Roles/Goals in AUScA: As secretary, my role focuses on administrative duties such as recording and setting up minutes, agenda and actions of each member in our committee. My duties can be broad from recording information during meetings to creating polls and collecting votes during decision making to make sure that there is always diplomacy within AUScA. |

Major (and any minors): Corporate Finance and Accounting Hobbies: Travelling, Hanging out with friends and Dogs Facts about me: I’m back at Uni after taking a break to be a manager for a National corporate company. I love working with numbers and money and am extremely passionate about science Roles/Goals in AUScA: As the Treasurer it is my role to manage the accounts and budgets for every single event our club plans. My goal is to set a standard of recording transactions and event information for future committees to continue. |

Roles/Goals in AUScA: As one of the two comms officers, I run AuSca’s social media (pls like & subscribe to our insta/fb haha), including this website! In general, my aim is to publicize the society and help Science students find our events and a fun community within the Uni! |

Help? Roles/Goals in AUScA: I'm the Postgraduate Representative and this year I want to see as many honours/post-grad students being involved with AUScA as I can. Their involvement has the potential to be very helpful to undergraduates and hopefully the association can be more tailored to and beneficial for them, too. |

You can coerce me into anything (to an extent) with desserts. Roles/Goals in AuSca: My role as a first year rep is to connect and form a network between AuSca’s committee and club members, I’m here to make the club experience as enjoyable and memorable for everyone! AUScA Committee Roles
President:
The role of the President is to lead all other Committee members, ensuring the Club is running as well as it could and the planning of events is moving forward. The President is also in charge of running the meetings, and will act as a Spokesperson for the Club.
Vice-President:
The Vice-President assists the President, and is in command should the President be absent, or resign. Traditionally, the Vice-President is also the Head of SciBall planning, with the help of an elected Subcommittee.
Secretary:
The Secretary is the record-keeper of the Club, writing the agenda and taking the minutes for every meeting. The Secretary is also in charge of scheduling of Committee members and volunteers for all events.
Treasurer:
The role of Treasurer is to be in charge of the financials of the Club. They are in charge of handling the Club's bank account, financing each event, grant applications, and bookkeeping.
Communications Officer (2 persons):
Communications Officers are in charge of Social Media Interactions, the Club email, and the Club website. The role is shared amongst two people, as Communications Officers must be prepared to draft and post or email announcements under short notice, which is difficult with only one Communications Officer.
Traditionally one of the Communications Officers is also selected to be in charge of Pub Crawl planning.

The role of the Networking Officer is to handle the planning of various Networking events hosted by the Club throughout the year, including booking the venue and contacting industry professionals and Professors to attend these events.
First Year Representative:
The First Year Representative is the voice on the Committee that provides the perspective of a First Year student, and is a representative of their Year Level.
Second Year Representative:
The Second Year Representative is the voice on the Committee that provides the perspective of a Second Year student, and is a representative of their Year Level.
Third Year Representative:
The Third Year Representative is the voice on the Committee that provides the perspective of a Third Year student, and is a representative of their Year Level.
